Fave-o-Flaves

There are the doldrums of flavor combinations in this world, and then there are the breathtaking peaks of flavor combinations. For example, chocolate and peanut butter = doldrum.

Here are a few unique picks that I have found:
  • Pepper and pecans (Valdosta, of course)
  • Yams and cheddar (I often don't do cheddar, but this is a winner)
  • Shrimp cooked atop salmon (somehow this pair was meant to be, but then the best salmon in the world is Copper River salmon, and that's because the salmon eat shrimp before hitting freshwater.)
  • Olive oil and blueberry muffins (forget the butter, folks, this combo will be life altering)
  • Pitted dates with salted cashews stuffed inside (my grandma made up this combo and shared it with me. Forget the Snickers.)
  • Apple sauce and plain yogurt or greek plain yogurt on pancakes (originally part of the potato pancake venture, only with sour cream - tangy and tart)
If you are reading this, please share a few of your own! On a neglectful note, I have many short meals to add here, and even pics, but time. You know.
