Idiot Proof Whole Wheat Bread Recipe

Mix in order: 3 c warm water, 1 1/2 T yeast, 1/3 c canola oil, 1/4 c honey, 1 1/2 T lemon juice, 1 T vital gluten, 1 teaspoon salt, 6-7 c whole wheat flour. Add the flour until solid but slightly sticky. Pour dough out on a surface with a bit of canola oil to shape it or roll it. Bake at 350* for 30 mins, whatever you create with it. Works great for pizza dough, cinnamon rolls, bread, dinner rolls, whatever. I usually divide the dough into fourths, make two pizzas, and some type of rolls or bread with the other two parts.

Carmelized Onions

Onions are full of wonderful natural sweetness, and this comes out if they are heated over low heat for a LONG time. Imagine the flavor of onion rings without the fat. I first sliced and cooked super lean turkey Kielbasa in the skillet, removed the Kielbasa, and cooked the sliced onions in the same pan. Stir over medium low in a no-stick skillet with canola spray, or a tiny bit of butter or olive oil until the onions turn clear. I then added lean turkey Kielbasa, and oven-broiled grape tomatoes with a bit of Kosher salt. Add together over pasta (shown with brown rice pasta) for a low fat, low cal, but tasty dish. For those who don't eat meat, this dish is still great meatless!
